For all those that eat at fast food restaurants please read this. I always thought when my food was delayed "how hard can it be to flip a burger or cook some chicken" usually with a swear word thrown in. I started at KFC a bit over a week ago as a supervisor and thought I would be walking into a easy no brainer job. I was so wrong!!! These men and women work darn hard for the little money they get and they are not allowed a break as long as there are customers. If its an 8 hr shift but there are still customers well its to bad, no break, if you want to go for a quick smoke or just to get out for a few minutes then you take a broom and dustpan with you and clean the parking lot. A/C means nothing in the back cooking/prep areas where it can be in the 80 degree plus temp and its not even summer yet. Not only are they to meet/greet customers, cook,prepare side orders, serve, handle money, wash tables/seats, empty trash, sweep floors, make drinks, do cleaning duties assigned to them and keep a smile on their faces even when being yelled at. Please treat them with the respect they deserve and have earned for doing a usually thankless job.
