That, and that pesky 20% property tax rise since he took over as a big tax cutter, no wonder all he seems to run are attack ads. Hard to run on your record when you really need to run FROM it. The New Jersey governor, repeatedly referred to as “Big Boy,” is one of the main characters. Some of the newsiest nuggets deal with a host of unanswered questions that came up while Mitt Romney’s campaign vetted him as a potential running mate. Romney’s lawyers prepared a 35-page report, along with a DVD of video clips highlighting his temper and controversial public comments, which the new book says was “littered with potential landmines.” The report also highlighted several documents that Christie would not turn over, including medical records from his most recent physical. While Christie’s weight problem and chronic tardiness are well-known, the new book comes on the eve of what is still expected to be a handy reelection next Tuesday and the questions could hang him over him as he moves toward a likely 2016 bid.
