For and on behalf of the fundraising team at MKGH: I’m delighted to invite you to a celebration event for our Touch of Pink Appeal. 2012/13 was a fantastic year for our fundraising. From overwhelming support from hospital staff at our Touch of Pink launch, to all the events that took place – gala balls, bake-offs, cricket days, photography exhibitions, marathons and mountain treks – we even turned Stony Stratford pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month! And now the new digital x-ray machine has arrived we would love to take the opportunity to say a big thank you – because without your support, dedication and generosity, we couldn’t have reached our target. This Touch of Pink Appeal celebration takes place on Wednesday 23 October, from 6pm-7.30pm in the Postgraduate Centre at Milton Keynes Hospital. During the evening we will also be offering a demonstration of the new machine and tours of the Breast Unit – as well as tea and pink cupcakes! I really hope you will be able to attend to help us celebrate our achievements, meet the fantastic breast unit staff as well as our fellow donors. You will also be able to hear about our future plans for the Touch of Pink Appeal, too.
