For any Muslims who are looking to allocate their yearly Zakaat before Sunday, Kia Ora Gaza Trust has launched an urgent appeal for funds towards humanitarian relief in war-ravaged Gaza. Over 3000 Palestinians have been injured during Israel’s current genocidal onslaught. Their illegal siege on Gaza has left the medical services without basic supplies. Funds raised will provide urgently needed medical supplies and food in the besieged Palestinian enclave. As with our earlier appeal for emergency flood relief for Gaza in January, we have chosen to support the international appeal spearheaded by our colleagues in Viva Palestina Malaysia. Funds will go directly to the Federation of Islamic Medical Associations who work in partnership with the Arab Medical Union and Palestinian International Medical Aid. Already a convoy of 7 trucks has managed to get through the Rafah crossing & delivered US$200,000 worth of essential medical and surgical supplies to Gaza’s health services. A second convoy is preparing to leave from Cairo with US$500,000 worth of medical equipment. The brothers and sisters of Gaza are in urgent need of your help and financial assistance.
