For ever, 0 LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. Ps 119:89 - TopicsExpress

For ever, 0 LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. Ps 119:89 KJV How long is forever? Will there ever be a time that this is not true? There will never be a time. Where is the Word settled? In heaven. It doesnt say that it is settled on earth [yet]. As far as God is concerned, His Word is settled. He said it; it is a law and a fact. It is settled in heaven, which is why Jesus said, On earth as it is in heaven. (Matt 6:10; Luke 11:2) Gods will, His Word, is settled in heaven, and He wants His Word settled on earth, and when it is settled on earth, it will be as it is in heaven. If it is settled in heaven, then we must settle it on earth, and the way we do that is by what Jesus told us to pray, and recognizing that and establishing Gods will on earth. The word settle in this verse is the Hebrew word Natsab (Strongs number OT: 5324), which means to station. So He stations His Word. Forever His Word is stationed. Even that sounds like a military meaning. It means to set as a boundary. Station, in various applications, literally or figuratively, means to set as a boundary. Gods Word is forever set and settled, and stationed as a boundary. Next, it is translated in the King James Version as appointed, deputy, erect, establish, lay, to be an officer, as a pillar, present, rear up, set, settle, sharpen, establish, make to stand. [So within that word is the intention of making it established against all enemies or rebels against the word of God.] All of these sayings say the same thing. God is saying, “I have placed My Word, I have planted it. I have established it. It is settled and that is the way it is.” God said, “Forever My Word is settled; it is set as a boundary.” This Scripture stops any Christian from ever using anything outside the Word of God to be a way of establishing Gods will.
