For everyone who knows where we live--we made it safely through the tornado warning tonight. Had at least three touchdowns in town but it jumped over the housing development, the school, and the Walmart full of people. One funnel cloud was spotted less than a mile north of our house but it never touched down. We spent close to three hours in our storm shelter with our six cats. We now have a list of things we need to include down there. I havent heard of any homes hit yet. Next house we buy will have the shelter under the house instead of across a small courtyard and under the workshop. The weather channel is useless in these situations. I tried to get an update when I went in the house after the siren turned off and all it was showing was a banner at the bottom of the screen with temps and wind and chance of rain for tonight and tomorrow. All computers were off so I couldnt check the radar. And unfortunately, we had a leak in the computer room ceiling but at least it was over the chair and not the computers. We can get lots of rain with no leak but when we get the really high winds with rain it finds its way in.
