For everyone who wants details on the accident- Continue reading. Yesterday I was traveling north on Ella headed to see Jason Nunez at work before Basic Recovery. The other driver apparently turned right from the left lane, placing him directly in my path. My car t-boned his car at about 40 mph and both vehicles were knocked off the road and mine came to rest (crashed) into a big ole palm tree. Cops and paramedics showed up, and the other driver was cited for failure to yield right of way. I am sore from the seat belt across my collar bone, a burn / scrape on my wrist (from the airbag I think) and my back and ankle are sore. Im really sore all over. I have not been to the Dr today, mainly because it seems like a hassle and a waste of money. Im sure no bones are broken, but I keep being told I should go, so I may listen to reason. I have a rental car for free for three days until the other drivers insurance authorizes it. (Monday). I suppose its not surprising that I feel a little panicky behind the wheel and my driving style has adopted a more grandmotherly quality which delights the other drivers who insist on swerving around me abruptly as if to say... how dare you drive the speed limit. - I used to do the same thing. Assuming he actually has valid insurance, that (plus my Gap Protection that Im really glad I bought) should take care of the car repairs or if its totaled, then I dont know if it will give me enough for a down payment on another car. Gods got this. Im not tripping.... yet.
