For everyone whos ever worn orthodontic stuff. My daughter just finished using one orthodontic gizmo to help push one front tooth forward because it was behind the bottom one. Thats finished and now she is unable to close her back teeth at all. She now has another mouth gizmo which is supposed to stretch out her palate to make more room for all of her teeth. However, right now shes unable to masticate even an orange. (The new gizmo has nothing to do with it.) Ive mentionned this twice to the professionals. One of them assured me she is able to close her teeth (All the while my daughter is saying no and finally the pro convinced my daughter that she can. Kids are convinced easily, thats how predators get to them.) They keep saying that in 3 or four months time, she will get braces and the problem will fix itself. In the meanwhile she cant chew. What am I supposed to do? Is this normal or should I be taking out the hatchet?
