For fourteen years I had a dog named Daisy. Because her stomach got upset easily we filled jugs with tap water, kept them in the fridge, and used that water for Daisy’s bowl whether we were at home or traveling with her. One day at a family gathering at my house, I asked everyone what they wanted to drink with dinner. My son-in-law replied, “I’ll have dog water.” From then on, any water in my fridge has been known as dog water. Daisy has been gone many years, but dog water is still one of the drink options at my house.
