For good reason, astrologers have long associated the Saturn-Pluto - TopicsExpress

For good reason, astrologers have long associated the Saturn-Pluto and Uranus-Pluto cycles with wars and socio-economic upheavals. The conjunctions (0 degree angles), squares 990 degree angles), and oppositions (180 degree angles) between these planets have a long and consistent history of coinciding with major wars and sociopolitical crises. When Saturn conjoined Pluto in 1914, it coincided with the start of WWI. When it squared Pluto in 1931, it brought the Great Depression and the rise of fascism. When it squared Pluto in 1940, it brought WWII. When it conjoined Pluto again in 1947, it brought the start of the Cold War. When it squared Pluto again in 1955, it brought the Korean War, the Red Scare, and the H-Bomb. When it opposed Pluto again in 1966, it brought race riots and the Vietnam War. When it conjoined Pluto again in 1982, it brought the first Islamic attacks against the USA. When it opposed Pluto in 2001, it brought the 911 attacks. Each and every time, we saw deadly manifestations, but these aspects alone do not fully account for the period between 1914-1945, when 300 million people died tragically via WWI, WWII, Stalinism, the Chinese Revolution, Hitler’s Ovens, and the Spanish Flu. That short 31 year period was the worst upheaval recorded history knows about. Death came for many reasons, in many guises, but it just kept on coming, and kept on coming, and kept on coming, for over three decades, and there is no widely accepted astrological reason why it happened. The entire period was horrific, but no transiting aspects of the known planets lasted throughout the whole period. There was a really nasty Saturn/Uranus/Pluto T-Square at the start of the Great Depression, but that wasn’t in effect for more than a few years at most, and can’t account for the whole era. However, I am growing more and more convinced that the new planet Eris (discovered in 2005) CAN account for it, especially when you consider that the true horror of the 1914-1945 period was broken up into two segments, 1914 – 1919 (WWI and the Spanish Flu), and 1937-1945 (Stalinism, fascism, Hitler’s Ovens, and WWII). There was an 18 year period in the middle that was far less disturbed, and I have found an aspect pattern that parallels that : the Pluto-Eris cycle. Pluto squared (90 degrees) Eris 1912-1919, covering WWI and the Spanish Flu Pluto trined (120 degrees) Eris 1937-1946, covering Stalinism, fascism, Hitler’s Ovens, and WWII Then Pluto went on to oppose (180 degrees) Eris in 1977, trined it again in 2002, and will square it again in 2019. The 2002 trine of course coincides with the 9/11 attacks and America’s subsequent military entry into the Middle East. The opposition seems to have produced the least manifestations, but it did coincide with the Three Mile Island Meltdown, the deaths of two Popes in one year, the Israel-Egypt Peace Treaty, and the Iranian Revolution and Hostage Crisis. The next Pluto-Eris aspect is another square, which will be within a presumably effective six degree orb from 2015–2023, a period which coincides with (and should be activated by) the Uranus-Pluto square of 2012-2018, the Jupiter/Uranus/Pluto T-Square of 2014, the Jupiter/Uranus/Pluto T-Square of 2017, and the Jupiter/Saturn/Pluto conjunction of 2020. In 2014 we find the Eris-Uranus conjunction in a T-square with a Jupiter-Pluto opposition, a four-outer-planet alignment. The missing leg of the T-square will be in Libra, suggesting that the best response to the 2014 crisis will be peaceful diplomacy and social dialogue (i.e. connect with others and find strength in numbers). In 2017 we find another four-planet T-square, with Pluto squaring an Eris-Uranus opposition to Jupiter. The missing leg of that T-Square is in Cancer, suggesting that the best response to the 2017 crisis will revolve around family needs (i.e., several months to a year’s worth of stored food, water, salt, and medicine). In 2020 we will see Uris squaring the triple conjunction of Jupiter/Saturn/Pluto. There is no T-square and so no missing leg to give us a clue how to prepare for it or respond to it, but one thing we can be sure of – with Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto all conjunct in Capricorn in 2020, the government is going to be more powerful than ever. There is a precedent to this coming Uranus-Pluto-Eris alignment. In 1758, Pluto and Eris were conjunct, and in square to Uranus. This occurred during the Seven Years War, which was fought in Europe, Africa, India and North America between England and her colonies, Prussia, Portugal and smaller German states against Austria, France, Russia, Sweden and Saxony. Churchill famously called it the first “world war”. It brought a level of conflict far beyond anything that the world had ever seen before. And that aspect has not occurred again, until now.
