For individual health policy holders: One of the regulations of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) relates to annual renewal of insurance policies. Up to this point, renewal happened on your policy anniversary date. However, we were just notified that ALL ACA individual policies (our current Humana customers) will renew on January 1st, regardless of the effective date. This does not include grandfathered plans (our current Blue Cross customers). We are aware that rates are going up, but we are unable to access exact rates and policies until November 15th, or a few days ahead of time. As soon as open enrollment begins, we can shop for new plans & prices for you. We will notify you when we can access that information. If you received a tax credit subsidy to help pay your premiums, it is highly recommended that you re-apply for your subsidy and re-evaluate your insurance plan. We can help with both of those and will start taking appointments in about a week. We will send out more information as it becomes available and will notify you when are setting appointments.
