For just a moment, I hesitated to write my views on this subject. What does this mean? This is not a democratic or republican issue. There is enough guilt on both sides. Free speech, freedom of the press, right of privacy--for an informative discussion on these issues view the video below: Former New York Times investigative reporter Chris Hedges debates University of Chicago law professor Geoffrey Stone—the man who hired Barack Obama to teach constitutional law at that school and later served as the president’s informal adviser. For what its worth I am a liberal, Anthony Kennedy was my constitutional law professor at law school, I voted twice for Obama but in my opinion Stone--who could think of no defense for Snowden--is an embarrassment to the legal community. I hope that the importance of these issues--right of privacy, right of free speech--remain in the forefront of what needs to be addressed.
