For many of us...Life will be going on as usual today, but behind the scenes others are being told not to come to work today or that their paychecks will be delayed until our very ineffective government gets their act together. While this government shut down goes on these politicians are getting paid for doing what they have done over and over again...WE need to band together and say...ENOUGH...if we did not do our job we would be fired. Whatever it takes...we need to tell our politicians that they are fired...whether that is to call them...write them...or next time vote them out of office. They somehow need to get the message that they are not speaking for us when they can not reach across party lines and do what is right for the people they govern. Where did they get the right to go to work and dig their feet in the sand and make no progress...teachers loose their jobs when they do not bring their students up to grade level, workers are eliminated daily for not doing their jobs... I do not care which side of the political fence you stand on...what our elected officials did in allowing our government to shut down...is simply not acceptable.
