For many years, monarchs & Lilydale Park have fit together beautifully for me. Its in our beloved park where milkweed grows in abundant patches, Ive come to learn so much about monarchs. Its in Lilydale Park that monarchs have captured my imagination & my heart, and transferred to our backyard and beyond. I cant drive anywhere w/o seeing milkweed & having an urge to look for signs of monarchs. This NY Times story is one that seems to be unfolding in only 1 heartbreaking direction. I hope. I pray. It will take a new & better turn, this story. Will it? Well see w/ time.
