For many years my son was responsible for the electronics of millions of dollars worth of aircraft keeping that aircraft and its crew safe and mission capable. We often discuss responsibility. Law enforcement is much in the news these days and I made comment to him this morning about that belt an officer wears around his waist. It is quite heavy and it seems to weigh a ton by the end of a long shift. A much heavier load than that load of equipment is carried from the moment you buckle it on. You have just assumed the responsibility of properly using that equipment or refraining from its use. On your decision, lives may hang in the balance and you wont have time to ask someone else to make the decision. Responsibility. It is very heavy.
