For me Good friday is a very special time for it is both a time of love and a time of good overcoming evil.It is therefore also a time of hope for the future.At Good friday I believe that Jesus allowed himself to be nailed to the cross.He was willing to undergo the most horrendous death known to man at that time.I believe that he suffered incredibly. However, what was most painful was being separated from his Father.This happened because he took upon himself all the sin of the world – each and every act of evil. He took upon himself our sin. This was voluntary.He did it out of love for each one of us.I believe that Jesus died on the cross so that our sins may be forgiven. If that was the end, it would be a sad and tragic end to a man’s life, but it was not the end. On the Sunday he rose.This shows that his sacrifice was sufficient. He conquered death. Because of this I am not afraid to die. I also know that I can face tomorrow, no matter what it holds, because he is with me. May you have a blessed Good Friday full of love, goodness and hope.
