So I’ll take months and months and months and just stockpile pages and pages of notes of cool lines that I like. Like, I really like to have so many lines in the song that make you go ‘Oh, that was clever!’ or ‘Oh, that was interesting!’ or ‘I haven’t heard it put like that before!’ and those are lines that I come up with in the middle of the night. Um, I get melodies in different forms.
