For me base jumping and wing-suit flying are not about fun. They are not about a feeling. Its something much bigger. Its about evolution. Its about becoming something different. About becoming something not quite human anymore. The first squirrels that tried to fly must have seemed insane to the other little squirrels and for hundreds of thousands of years they were. They would jump from trees and many of them would die. But over time they started changing. Now they can fly. We are like the early flying squirrels. We are in the dying phase. The dangerous phase. But without this phase there would never have been flying squirrels :)
