For me the greatest crime of this administration was the complete and utter mismanagement in the aftermath of typhoon Yolanda. He has got away with it despite his glaringly obvious poor performance in crisis management and not for the first time. He got away with it because the pro government media spun it and took the attention away from his awful incompetent reaction to an awful event. To sum it up, remember he went on CNN with the intention of discrediting claims made by such as Anderson Cooper about the total lack of intervention from national government for several days. He put all the blame on local government that had been smashed to its very core and in no position to respond adequately without back up from the government which was not forthcoming. He was asked about death toll and was told that a police chief in Tacloban had claimed there could be as much as 10,000 dead. He scoffed at the figure and claimed it was an overstatement and promptly fired the police chief that made the claim. Aquinos figure was 2000 dead and in his words thats a more realistic figure Well when you count the dead and missing it comes to nearly 10,000 as the policeman said. He still was fired. His claim of 2000 simply underplays a huge disaster to the world media but for some reason its forgotten. It was 10,000 sir so who was right and who was wrong but have you fired yourself yet??????? And Filipinos are reckoning his done a good job. Having friends in the media really has benefits when your dealing with the stupid.
