For me the revelation that the entire TORT REFORM objective in my home state....Has been in effect almost exclusively a GOP initiative...Has been to say the least a tremendous and unimaginable blow and rude awakening!....As I have stated before hand....For my self personally I care not about the capping of how much non economical damages is permitted to be awarded to families of desist patients in result of the incompetency and negligence of Doctors and Hospitals etc....After all...For me its about justice and not about scoring any kind of monetary or financial gain from the death of a family member....Because ultimately such money is tainted and tarnished and thus is nothing more then the blood money of my beloved loved one ( My mother ) and therefore no amount of money in the world will ever relinquish or relieve me from the pain which I am suffering....On that note however...I am also a strong believer in the fact that how much compensation a family member is to be permitted should NOT! be determined by any single entity....Now rather that be the state ( Legislators ) or the Courts ( A judge )... But rather it should be assist and determined by a Grand Jury ( THE PEOPLE! )....As I have said....For me the realization that our Legislators within the GOP corner...Who mind you, continuously profess at being devout Conservatives and who so vigorously proclaim to be defenders and protectors of we the people...To push forward an agenda which is clearly a Corporate objective...Is with out question despicable and an outrage!...Once again...My issue with this vial mandate ( TORT REFORM ) is not the Capping of limitations in relation with non economical compensation...But rather the 2 year statute limitation clause within this diabolical legislation!....Which as I have pointed out previously...Severely undermines and limits the ability or prospect of any family member from being able to present their case in Court...And consequently enabling them to bring some level of accountability to those parties responsible!...For me...The action of these men and women of the GOP is nothing more then aiding in a betting in forwarding the vial and evil Corporate agenda, which is in every sense of the word in direct contrast to the best interests of the American people...THEIR! constituency. -Darius Radmanesh
