For my English speaking friends, here is the English version of « The Jewels of the Dark » (Les joyaux des ténèbres), a 45 minutes film produced in experimental High Definition TV in 1993. It received a Merit Award and the Best of Show Award at the NSS (National Speleological Society - USA) Video Salon of 1998 amongst other international awards. You can freely share and download this film. The equipment that was used to make this film was very far from today’s HD camcorders; 24 tons truck to record the video signal coming from a camera linked by 2 Km of fiber optic cable and a LOT of lights! Quite a challenge for the 30+ crew of cavers and film technicians who participated to this adventure in some of the most beautiful caves of France.
