For my birthday this year I would like to do things differently and appreciate all the people who have played a role, either great or small, in shaping the young woman that I am. Firstly, I thank the Almighty God, my father, my friend, my provider, my protector, my love, my all for my life and for continually teaching me how to be more like Him. I have made lots of mistakes, taken detours and slowed down on my journey but He remained faithful and each time lovingly waited for me to turn around and realize that He had always been there. I thank Him for caring me when I was too weak to carry on. I thank Him for being my comfort and oh Lord, my strength. I am who I am and where I am in faith that Gods love is sufficient and I thank Him for His word that have been a constant reminder that I am never alone. Thank you for the convictions and the brokenness. I am proud to be Your daughter Simakadze wemazulu nemhlaba nakokonke lokwadalwa nguwe. Now Father, I thank you for DrBetty Dlamini who you brought into my life as a mother who taught me about you. I thank you for giving you the biggest heart and a humble soul. She became a mother to me and today I look back and I am in awe of what You have done in my life, work that started in the year 2000. I thank you for my brothers, Abraham and Abdul who were always there when I was a kid and took me to church with them. With them I felt protected and loved, I knew that I was their little sister for whom they were willing to fight armies for. Thank you for the countless lessons that I learnt from them. Thank You for my Mother(May Her Soul RIP) who even though she did not go to church with us, she woke us up on Sundays and made sure that we got ready in time for church. I remember how she would always ask about church was. She was a strong woman and I thank You Lord that you chose her to bring me to this world. I also thank you for my awesome aunt who like my mother made sure that we never missed church and school. She became my first guardian after mothers passing. I thank you for a love so pure from her and that she could love me as her own child. Father I thank you for my father through whom you taught me how a woman is meant to be treated as for me he represented the best love I have ever seen from a man. Though he is gone, know the kind of love that I want in my life. The 1 Corinthians 13 kind of love. Lord I thank you for my sister Mary Nothando Fisokuhle Bulunga, who taught me that in all situations I must pray. Even when I had been bullied at school, when I reported at home, her response would be let us pray. Thank you Lord that through her I learned the power of prayer and saw one person through which scripture comes alive. She lovingly taught us warfare prayer. The likes of Psalms 91 which even today carries me through wars. I thank you for her amazing heart and for teaching me to love even when it hurts. I thank her for loving me selflessly even when the world did not understand. I thank her for never giving up on me(and she just sent me a happy birthday text).
