For my ladies friends and family trying to lose weight be healthy and get in shape this is my story which may offer some insight and help you along your path to wellness. I was overweight in my late teens and when I was 19 I decided to get fit. I worked my way up to running three miles a day. I was very much into weight lifting. I leg pressed 400 pounds bench pressed 140. I was obsessed with working out. In my early twenties I came down with some kind of bacterial infection and after that I was never the same. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Well needless to say I was never able to resume my intense workouts and I went from a solid 115 pounds down to 89 pounds. I found a nutritionist/ cell analyst who took a drop of my blood and determined that I had a bad case of candida along with some other health issues. He put me herbal supplements and in time I began to feel better. I was never able to work out again the way I had trained so I had to find an alternative method of working out. I found Yoga and Pilates. I mostly practiced Pilates and that is how I regained some strength and was able to stay lean. Up until having my son I was always less than 100 pounds. But with having my son my thyroid function plummeted and I was unable to lose the pregnancy weight. My adrenal glands were stressed and I was fatigued. I was battling with postpartum depression and PTSD. My son at two weeks old was hospitalized for e coli which turned out to be a partial bowel obstruction and part of his small intestine was perforated. We nearly lost him since they could not figure out what was wrong with him and having spent nearly a month in the hospital with no answers and my son requiring blood transfusions lead to emergency exploratory surgery where they found these issues. Not to mention the deep vein thrombosis they caused him we had the luxury of injecting him twice daily with lovenox for three months. The whole ordeal with Aidan caused me to experience a severe case of PPD. Mind you this was my first child and I was 34 years old. So the whole experience created a worn out body and glands that were not functioning properly. I began addressing my thyroid issues and resumed working out after two years of having my son. I lost the weight with supplements and eating well and of course practicing Pilates, Yoga and Ballet. I had my daughter at age 38. Experienced some major life changes and major loss. Leaving my adrenal glands and thyroid depleted. So I began taking Raw Adrenal Formula and Raw Thyroid Formula along with Kelp and I began eating according to my blood type and practicing Yoga and Yin Yoga daily. I have lost most of the pregnancy weight a year after my daughter’s birth. It can be done when we address health issues with herbal supplements and eating well. I do not eat processed foods or anything from cans. My food is fresh grass fed and Organic. I now eat according to my blood type and practice Yoga & Yin Yoga which is the greatest form of exercise that aligns the mind body and spirit. I drink plenty of water only reverse osmosis water and I meditate. So if you ladies are having issues with health or weight I suggest you take your basal temperature to see if your thyroid is functioning optimally or have your TSH tested and go from there. My adrenals are still depleted hence all the anxiety attacks but with taking the adrenal formula the anxiety attacks are lessening. I have good and bad days but the bad days are decreasing. It’s a process that takes consistency and determination. Don’t give up! The only workouts I do are from Jennifer Kries Hot Body Cool Mind four DVD series. I have been working out to Jennifer Kries DVD’s for nearly twenty years. She is a master teacher and by far the best instructor out there when it comes to Pilates and Yoga.
