For over 100 years January has been the month retailers have their white sales. Some very smart fellow opened a shop in Philadelphia in the 1870s and made it a yearly event. And, here we are now. What is wonderful is that its generally not just sheets and pillow cases. Towels, bedspreads and in some stores even their curtains are on sale this month. I go through what I own and then only buy what I think I need to make it through to next January. It is also a great time to buy any wedding or graduation gifts ( for them moving out graduates).
