For several months now Ive been donating to random people in need. Not always just to the homeless. When I started running my own transportation gig, I really got to understand senior citizens and hear their problems. The income/money situations for them are extreme at many times. Their gov asst. checks dont pay shyza and because they didnt succeed at saving retirement funds, the simplest and most inexpensive items can be extremely difficult to buy sometimes!!! Its also heartbreaking to see many seniors living in homes with strangers against their will, living solo because theyre spouse passed away, or in asst. Living places they absolutely HATE with a passion and 90% of the time with NO VISITORS! Their families forget about them or they dont have any left. Like many that work with our elders... I have seen it all. For the next few months, I really want to focus on donating whatever I possibly can and what most seniors need most. - Lotions -shampoos -conditioners -soaps - body wash - toothpaste- laundry detergents- gift cards- books- paper towels- toilet paper- tissue- cleaning supplies- etc. If you want to help by donating, PLEASE dont hesitate to gather THE NEW (non expired) item(s) you can part with/buy and place them in a bag. Also, if you do participate, please include your name and phone number on a paper with what you donate. Im pretty sure the seniors that receive your donated items would love to take a picture holding what you gave them to show their appreciation. Much luv!
