For some reason, finding Comet Lovejoy was more difficult that I - TopicsExpress

For some reason, finding Comet Lovejoy was more difficult that I thought - although it is supposed to brighten over the next week..I tried to take advantage of the clear skies tonight and get a shot - not much luck with my 28-300mm so this is the clearest shot of the green fuzzball (top right) with my 85mm f1.8. I am hoping that someone with a longer lens and steadier tripod can manage to capture this thing without resorting to a major automated telescope...its a challenge and fun to try... CC welcome - I would like to capture a better photo... Nope, forgot to switch over to RAW for this series...Ill remember next time (maybe) and also try to spend more time setting it up - providing the chilly weather doesnt hinder progress :-) Nikon D610 Manual exposure Exposure Program: Manual Exposure Time: 4 sec FNumber: 2.5 Focal Length: 85 Focal Length In 35mm Film: 127 ISO 1,250 Auto white balance Lens Model: 85.0 mm f/1.8
