For some reason today, I wanted to share this.............so maybe since it is so on my mind, one of you may be struggling with this issue or it may be a burden in your life............and in some way maybe it will help you or at least let you know you are not the only one dealing with it. In recent weeks, Ive had a couple of people ask me about my father........my father is still living but I havent seen him in about 14 years and actually not much at all in about 24 years............my choice. When I was a little girl we did alot of neat stuff together...........we watched James Bond movies together, drank alot of Pepsi out of glass bottles, rode around in the Ford Fairlane, picked up aluminum cans and sold them and did family stuff. We used to work math problems out as he loved math. My father is a unique man and highly intelligent.........high IQ and has a doctorates degree in Agriculture Engineering...........love him...........but after I turned 17/18 years old, alot of things changed between us and some other family issues going on...........and it was a hard time when my grandmother was killed when I was 9 years old...........so alot of things gradually changed in time. I just had to let the relationship go as it became to challenging and heart breaking for me..............and I had to come to a more normal state in my life and also for my own kids at that time. Decisions like these are tough..............but over time I have learned to live with it and accept my own decision better.............I dont regret it, but miss the good times. I pray for him and I think of him from time to time......... Sometimes you have to make decisions that are good for you...........though tough...........I focus on the good parts and let God have the rest...........it became too much for me to carry..........so I had to set it down and move on. xoxo
