For someone who is supposed to be the voice for the students on the src she seems to have a lack of respect for them. I dont understand how someone can claim to be a voice for students and continue to support actions to make public schools worse. She seems proud to say them children probably go to failing schools. That is a disgrace. You should be doing whatever you can to make sure there are no failing schools. The src should be made up of teachers who understand schools and the issues. Instead these fools want to make life harder for teachers and blame our failure on them. Most teachers care so much about their students and work to make sure students dont fail. Teachers feel as though they fail when their students fail but the src and politicians set the students and teachers up for failure. I dont think there is any job more important in this world than teaching yet it seems to be the least respected proffession.
