For the Farrons: Many of you might have noticed I did my dna on 23andMe (as did Kit). Since then, many relatives from across the pond have found me and reached out to connect and compare chromosome. The most recent is a strong connection with strong chromosome connections who to me is probably a strong 3rd cousin. It is a connection to Jeremiah Healy, Kathleens father. His name is Dr. Finbar O Mahony. Since his retirement 13 years ago, he has been manager of his family ancestry project. He is in Co. Cork, Ireland, (where that side of our family hails from). One thing I noticed is that Kit isnt showing a connection to him and as well, I dont demonstrate a connection to everyone Kit is showing a connection to. So even full siblings do not show all the same connections. If we could get as many of us as possible to do our dna, it would provide more information all around. If anyone is interested in joining it, Kit and I both used 23andMe, as did the people that are connecting to us. Not everyone will be interested, but if you are interested, its a pretty minimal cost of $99 for one kit and $79 for any subsequent kits. heres the link: https://23andme/
