For the Glenpool voters: As we sit on the eve of tomorrows vote, I have remained quiet until now. I want to now say somethings. This will be a new city tax. The tax now is being paid to the county. Make no doubt if the County wants to vote to keep the amount we would be getting, it will go on top of ours. It will not stop the County from adding more to our rate. I will also say I dont think there is anyway we can draw the number of people that they say we can. I say that due to the amount of tournaments I have ran. They also say the City will not be responsible for any cost overruns. Since they say we cant negotiate a contract yet, how can they promise that. Do I want a sports complex, yes I do. There are to many questions not answered for me to vote yes. Facts may not have been told correctly, or misrepresented. If you vote no, in 2017, your tax rate will go down unless the County chooses to extend the current tax. There are a lot more reasons to vote no, but I wont go into all of them, but I hope that you have really checked your facts before you vote yes. Dont just vote yes on a knee jerk reaction of it is for the kids.
