For the Stay Connected OC SUNDAY READ 8 What does a man write about? When he doesn’t care anymore About earthly or society’s bounds Unleashed without faith in world Would he speak of truths that were? Or the lies that are Would he write of life lived? Or love’s tragic lost Would he expose his hurt Or those who gave him pain A quest released is quite a blessing Being free is quite the burden Answers not too clear For a liberated man For love can be pain That becomes ugly bitter In every sentence that is written And paragraph that exposes The reality of his inside For in this transition He exposes the raw emotions Of the naked truth He was a nice guy Then became a good man Only to finally learn that There is no love without hate And hate and love do not exist But are only emotions Unbridled passion Relentless odium Are only mental expressions and projections Residue of once strong emotions Our heads store the tiny electric shocks Stimulating the brain In an endless loop For hearts are left empty At the time of creation Only through self examination Of Loathing and Love Can we ever expose and shed light On the self deep within And understand that We never were And always have been The vessels called hearts Are filled by our own fears And not of our own creations
