For the beginning guitarist who wishes to explore music outside - TopicsExpress

For the beginning guitarist who wishes to explore music outside the traditional European domain – (Sor, Carcassi, Aguado, Sanz, and other past masters), here is a beautiful ancient Tibetan melody called Leymon Tendrel. I have only heard this exquisite Tibetan Buddhist melody sung a cappella. It is by Rigdzin Jigme Lingpa (1730-1798) and is deeply devotional in intent. The melody itself is to be played rather freely and without strong accent. The harmonies in my arrangement lightly accentuate the subtle melodic design.. This video is presented in 3-View video format, with concert, left and right hand views of the entire piece. This music is from Jeffrey Goodmans A Beginners Guide to the Classical Guitar, and is found on page 132. youtu.be/RYpUp9uYhbQ
