For the drivers in Germantown and beyond... A note from the folks at the Commerce Department about free parking on Saturdays until January 2015: I was able to verify that the parking authority is not ticketing on all Saturdays starting with this Saturday November 29th until the New Year. Enforcement stops after 11:00 am because there is a tendency for shop owners to park in front of their establishments. So there should not be any enforcement of parking from 11:00 am with the exception of safety violations such as parking in front of a fire hydrant.
