For the families of the 96 people who lost their lives so tragically at Hillsborough 25 years ago, there is no going back. Nothing anyone says or does can make up for the suffering you have been through, both in grievance and in the subsequent tarnishing of your reputation. Liverpool is an amazing city with some really wonderful people in it. Such a friendly city has been for so long been held as reckless, drunk, a hazard to themselves. Whatever happened on that day, fans are not blameless, but the subsequent cover up of mistakes made and scapegoating was and is inexcusable. Though whilst we stand for justice for the 96, today must be about those lives lost, and the families they left behind. This was taken on Saturday at Derby Countys iPro Stadium on Saturday and is a symbol that football fans are united in their support on today of all days. RIP. JFT96.
