For the fifth year running, the men of MDA presented to the women of MDA their own pledge never to commit or be silent about violence against women, including this video presentation. Yet today is not about today. Violence against women happens 365 days of the year. “It’s somewhat ironic that White Ribbon Day is significant because it’s about men speaking out against violence against women; women have been speaking out against this violence for a very long time. The problem is our communities tend to listen to men more than we listen to women. This is about the privileges and responsibilities of power. And violence is all about power.” Peter Forday, MDA Deputy Chair #changetheconversation
