For the lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, - TopicsExpress

For the lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes (Revelation 7:17). Oh beloved, read this verse, then think about it today, let its words ring in your ears as you face today’s trials. This is how much God loves His children. The way this reads it is what will take place in Heaven and will continue right up to the very last of the Revelation where God is ready to create a new Heaven and a new Earth. God continually wipes away the tears and that is what God does, even in the final chapters of the Book. (Read Revelation 21:4). Although the Book of Revelation follows, one event after the other, we do read verses like this one that fills us in with greater information of the over-all events, and their aftermath, and even in a time of God’s wrath He saves, and even tenderly wipes away the tears from the eyes of those who love Him. John has seen a pause in the wrath of God being poured out and he is given the knowledge that, even during the time, in which God is pouring out His wrath, He also is the God of grace and mercy, saving some. Notice carefully how God cares for His children. The love of Jesus is shown as He personally feeds and cares for the sheep that He has saved. Every one will be fed and given water. The same thought that is in the Psalm is given here; that He shall lead them to green pastures and to pure water. (Read Psalm 23:2). God is just like that! He leads us to the good things in this life and when we go to be with Him He still leads us to the good things. There will not be just a small canteen of water in the desert, but there will be water and food in abundance. The Greek word for fountains is from the word (πηγὰς), pronounced “pay-gay’,” and it is a spring, which runs over and becomes a great river, which we will read more about later. Our life is in Jesus Christ and He alone is the One who supplies this living water. The blood of Jesus is a fountain that never runs dry. We know that this is that eternal life. All of the suffering that the tribulation Saints have endured will be forgotten. God will tenderly wipe away their tears, as He holds them close to Himself and loves them, as only God can. He brings them comfort, where before they had only hurt and misery. He brings them joy, peace, and rest, whereas before they only had the pressures of the evil world pressing upon them. They will be starved; hunted down, persecuted, and killed, but the Tribulation Saints will be in the loving hands of God the Father as soon as they lose their lives for Christ’s sake. This is the love and care that those who trust in Jesus Christ as Savior will receive. There will also be many Gentiles, from every nation, and Jews, who will survive the Great Tribulation and they will go into the one thousand year millennial reign with Jesus. We will study this in more detail when we come to those verses. Often times an conditions may seem to be unbearable but God always preserves, for Himself, a remnant. Our next study will, once again, return us to the events, upon the earth, as the seventh, and most devastating, of all the seals is broken. We have read of Gods wonderful grace, in the midst of his wrath being poured out, in this chapter. May God bless you in your Bible study. We will study chapter eight next. The seventh seal will be broken.
