For the longest time in my life, i wanted to do communications. Mostly because i was intrigued by the power the media has on people, but also because i wanted an outlet for my creativity. In my 1 and a half years in WKW, i cannot say that i have produced anything that i am proud to call my own (because of the ridiculously high standards i set for myself haha). But through this broadcast module, i finally can. This was exhilarating because it was my first time writing and directing a short film. The reason why this is so special to me is because it was about 70% of how i envisioned it to be when i first wrote the script. Watching it come to life in film, and allowing people to see what i see in my mind is just amazing! All these wouldnt have been possible without my group mates Bingyu Wu Charmian Tan and Jim Chan. We worked hard for this shit man, considering that we had to rush everything because we had papa production that week. In addition, we had such tough things to work around for our narrative (a chij badge, an aluminium tray and a paper weight?! WTF). I have to specially thank Bing for editing this, sitting down with me from 9pm to 6am listening to my stupid OCD like this is too yellow or can we cut it by one frame. Also, thanks to Aqil Haziq for helping us to act even though you had Chron Prod night and did not sleep at all. Youre still my favourite malay boy in wkw hahaha.
