For the most part, I hate running. Unless of course, there is a delicious reward at the end of said experience. I can appreciate the odd sunny afternoon adventure in good company, but for the most part, Id rather lift heavy things. Its not that it hurts or that Im potentially losing my gains - for the most part I find it genuinely tedious & boring. So typically I dont run. Nor should you if you dont enjoy it - the sooner you can discover the types or forms of exercise you actually enjoy, the closer youll be to implementing a sustainable training regime. Secret to long term dietary & training success? Consistency. Secret to consistency? Do things you enjoy.
