For the past 35 years, September 25th has been a solemn day for me. It was a day filled with horror for those of us living in this beautiful city of San Diego, as PSA Flight 182 and a Cessna collided in mid-air over the North Park section of the city. My heart continues to go out to the families and friends of those who perished on the planes and on the ground and those who lost so much. There is a picture on the first floor of the San Diego Blood Bank from that day - it is of the Upas Street center being flooded with people trying to give blood for the injured. Thankful for those who stepped up and tried to help and continue to help, even when all seems hopeless.
