For the past 51 weeks Ive been involved in a songwriting marathon with a tribe of women. The project is called Real Women Real Songs. Weve been writing a song a week based on a prompt for the past year. Im wrapping up song number 52 today. Its my last one for the year. I made it. In addition to songwriters, we had a photographer and an artist join us. Their work as well as the songs from everyone involved has been inspiring. They reminded me why I ever picked up the writing bug in the first place. I must add that the most difficult part for me was posting often unfinished ideas for all the see on Youtube. There were many times I had to write and record my song in haste to make the deadline. That said, the point was to write, allow it to be posted on Youtube, and let the song go.
