For the past several weeks, Ive been playing around with old tools, hunks of rotten wood, assorted acrylic paints, wire, copper pipe, fishing line and other assorted items to create some sort of order out of unrelated stuff. My friend, Portia, was right when she termed it bricolage. Its a nice postmodern way of fighting the tendency to follow prescriptive paths.
