For the past several years Ive had right hip pain. Really intensified the last 2 years, so much so that sitting for any period of time was not only uncomfortable, it got to be excruciating. Couldnt concentrate in meetings and got pretty irritable on long drives. My primary doctor insisted for the longest it was just tight hamstrings (cause hes a runner and has somewhat the same problem) so after rather impatiently putting up with physical therapy, he finally sent me to an ortho specialist. Ortho specialist diagnosed pinched nerves and sent me to a spinal surgeon. Spinal surgeon showed me my deteriorating discs and pressured nerves. Said I needed at least a steroid injection so while waiting for that consultation, prescribed some medications. OMG. I am 30 years old again. Well, maybe 45... I can sit, I can bend down to pick up a newspaper without planning it out, wow. Going out for a run is almost a pleasure. Can hardly wait for the steroid injection. Wish I could have found this fountain of youth a couple of years ago!
