For the past three weeks I have been searching for a car to replace my beloved Matrix, now approaching 200,000 miles. Dealers have been calling me, trying to get me interested in this and that. Today I was super close to buying a Yaris, one of the only small cars with excellent gas mileage that I can actually fit into comfortably. But I just cant justify the thousands of dollars to replace something that works. I am thinking utility now, like spending far less for an older, slightly less fuel efficient, more practical car for me, my drums, boards for garden beds, etc. It just has to have a decent sound system, dammit. And I will not buy a big SUV. Maybe an older AWD Forester? Maybe I just get a new stereo in my car and drive it into the ground? I cannot decide. Help.
