For the past three years, The Veterans Charity has sent Christmas dinner goodies to Veterans and their families who otherwise would not be celebrating the festive period. Many Veterans are forced to live on minimum benefits or pensions and for those facing such hardship, Christmas simply isnt possible. This year, we want to provide a turkey with all the trimmings, vegetables, crackers, sauces, a tree, some decorations and a few treats for the family to enjoy as well as a few gifts for children to open on the big day. The food provided will also be more than enough to provide food for the recipients until the New Year! We want to be able to do this for FIFTY Veterans and their families but as a small, self-funded charity, we cannot do this without support. Please help us to make Christmas a special time for our Veterans and to bring some much needed and deserved cheer to them and their families and to let them know that we care. It costs us just £100 to provide Christmas in a box. We want to reach our target of £5000 (less than £1 for each of our Facebook friends!) so that we can enhance the lives of FIFTY Veterans this Christmas. Please help us to do something amazing.
