Something about the way he worded it, particularly the use of the word wealth, just seemed to set up such a response. Heres my opinion on the church and money... A laborer is worth his due. Someone who works full-time deserves to be paid. A person who has a degree and works for a church deserves to be paid the same as someone in a similar position who works elsewhere. A pastor with a doctorate, for instance, deserves the same amount that degree would bring in the secular workforce. Etc. It costs money to operate. That money has to come from givers.
