For the record, people do get outraged about black on black crime. But those of you choosing this moment in history to state where is this outrage when black on black crime occurs, ask yourself where YOUR outrage is when black on black crime occurs. Did you show up? Did you go out into the hood and build with the people? Did you build with the youth before or after? Further, your point in pointing this out does what for the current atmosphere? Are you advocating government sanctioned executions, without anyone being held accountable? What are you trying to accomplish? What is your motivation and agenda? Are you attempting to get people to be outraged about black on black crime? If so, you need to learn the science of timing, because rather than giving the perception of being genuinely concerned about ending black on black crime, you give the perception that we should not be upset at police brutality because we do this to ourselves, which has an underlying tone of deservedness. If you are genuinely wanting to end black on black crime then get to doing some outreach, holding community town halls, workshopping with the youth, offering economic plans that can replace black market economics. Propose some solutions rather than detract from another issue. These are two separate issues. One is internal and one is external. We must never give external forces the ammunition to separate us further. Us needing to work on our internal affairs does not give the ok for external forces to abandon the law and declare it NIGGA HUNTING SEASON! Beware: When, and I say when, not if, it begins in your community, because this is simply setting a stage for the next act in the play, you will want people in your community to be able to come together and come to one anothers aid. Divisiveness is not our friend. Build now or be destroyed later. Peace.
