For the second consecutive year, Liberty field hockey head coach Jodi Murphy led a group from the university on a service project to the East African nation of Uganda. The nine-member team spent two weeks involved in various projects ranging from manual labor, singing and performing skits to field hockey and sports clinics. One of the team members, field hockey assistant coach Tilly Brampton, was recently featured on LFSNs Game On show, detailing her experience in Uganda and sharing her faith journey. The group, which also included field hockey assistant coach Jacki Raithel and womens soccer assistant coach Laura Armstrong, spent the first week in the north western town of Nebbi. The team volunteered at the Acres of Hope orphanage, helping with construction on a pair of new school buildings which will serve the orphanage and surrounding community for many years to come. #GoFlames
