For the students of CSS exams on their request- Islamic Studies ( Compulsory) and for Essay Writing- The selected verses of Holy Quran for reference -- Selected Verses from the Quran This [Quran] is a Message for humanity, in order that they may be warned thereby, and that they may know that He is but one God, and that those of understanding may take heed. (Quran 14:52) The Quran is believed by Muslims to be the last revealed Word of God and the basic source of Islamic teachings and law. It was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) through the Angel Gabriel fourteen-hundred years ago. This list contains a series of selected verses from the Quran, divided into the following Topics: Verses about the Quran Verses about Allah (God) Verses about the Creation Verses about the Prophets & Messengers Verses about Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) Verses about the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) Verses about the Religion Verses about the Noble Traits of the Believers Verses about the Life of this world Verses about the Resurrection Verses about Death Verses about the Day of Judgment Verses about the Hereafter An Admonition to Humanity Verses about the Quran It is He who has sent among the unlettered a Messenger from themselves reciting to them His verses and purifying them and teaching them the Book and wisdom - although they were before in clear error. (Al-Jumuah 62:2) And it was not [possible] for this Quran to be produced by other than Allah, but [it is] a confirmation of what was before it and a detailed explanation of the [former] Scripture, about which there is no doubt, from the Lord of the worlds. (Yoonus 10:37) Then do they not reflect upon the Quran? If it had been from [any] other than Allah, they would have found within it much contradiction. (An-Nisaa’ 4:82) There has come to you enlightenment from your Lord. So whoever will see does so for [the benefit of] his soul, and whoever is blind [does harm] against it. And [say], I am not a guardian over you. (al-Anaam 6:104) Say, [O Muhammad], It has been revealed by He who knows [every] secret within the heavens and the earth. Indeed, He is ever Forgiving and Merciful. (Al-Furqaan 25:6) All the praises and thanks is [due] to Allah, Who has sent down to His slave (Muhammad) the Book (the Quran), and has not placed therein any crookedness. [He has made it] Straight to give warning of a severe punishment from Him, and to give glad tidings to the believers who do righteous deeds that they shall have a fair reward. (Al-Kahf 18:1-2) Say: If the mankind and the jinns were together to produce the like of this Quran, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they helped one another. (Al-Israa 17:88) And We have indeed made the Quran easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? (Al-Qamar 54:17) An Arabic Quran, without any crookedness (therein) in order that they may become God-fearing. (Az-Zumar 39:28) And We have not revealed to you the Book, [O Muhammad], except for you to make clear to them that wherein they have differed and as guidance and mercy for a people who believe. (an-Nahl 16:64) And (remember) the Day when We shall raise up from every nation a witness against them from amongst themselves. And We shall bring you (O Muhammad) as a witness against these. And We have sent down to you the Book (the Quran) as an exposition of everything, a guidance, a mercy, and glad tidings for those who have submitted themselves (to Allah as Muslims). (An-Nahl:89) Verily, this Quran guides to that which is most just and right and gives glad tidings to the believers who work deeds of righteousness, that they shall have a great reward. (Al-Israa 17:9) This [Quran] is enlightenment for mankind and guidance and mercy for a people who are certain [in faith]. (Al-Jaathiyah 45:20) Verily, it is We Who have sent down the Quran and surely, We will guard it (from any change). (Al-Hijr 15:9) Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or from behind it; [it is] a revelation from a [Lord who is] Wise and Praiseworthy. (Fussilat 41:42) Verses about Allah (God) And your God is One God. There is no deity [worthy of worship] except Him, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. (Al-Baqarah 2:163) “And decree for us in this world [that which is] good and [also] in the Hereafter; indeed, we have turned back to You. [Allah] said, My punishment - I afflict with it whom I will, but My mercy encompasses all things. So I will decree it [especially] for those who fear Me and give zakah (prescribed charity) and those w ho believe in Our verses. (Al-‘Araaf 7:156) Look then at the effects (results) of Allahs Mercy, how He revives the earth after its death. Verily! That (Allah) Who revived the earth after its death shall indeed raise the dead (on the Day of Resurrection), and He is Able to do all things. (Ar-Room 30:50) And when it is said to them, Prostrate to the Most Merciful, they say, And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to that which you order us? And it increases them in aversion. (Al-Furqaan 25:60) Allah - there is no deity [worthy of worship] except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi (Footstool [of His Throne]) extends over the heavens an d the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great. (Al-Baqarah 2:255) He is Allah, whom there is none worthy of worship except He, the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen (open). He is the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. He is Allah, whom there is none worthy of worship except He, the King, the Holy, the One Free from all imperfections, the Giver of security, the Watcher over His creatures, the All-Mighty, the Compeller, the Supreme. Exalted is He above all that they associate [in worship] with Him. He is Allah, the Creator, the Inventor of all things, the Bestower of forms. To Him belong the Best Names. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorify Him. And He is the All- Mighty, the All-Wise. (Al-Hashr 59:22-24) Say, He is Allah, (the) One. The Self-Sufficient Master. He begets not, nor was He begotten; And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him. (Al-Ikhlas 112:1-4)
