For those asking; Matt Adams didnt start due to tightness in his left calf. He was out in the field shagging flyballs during batting practice and said afterward that he actually feels good enough to play. The tightness started in the final innings of Tuesdays game and got worse this morning. He expects to be available, if needed, off the bench. Shortstop Jhonny Peralta is also sitting tonight, though that was by design. Manager Mike Matheny said he targeted today as a good day to give Peralta a break.
