For those few interested in politics or the current climate in Washington: As my dedicated, hard-working, staunchly-conservative husband finishes four days in the nations Capitol, working closely on the Hill with the NRA and AKTI, I am heartened to hear his take on things. The pulse beat in D.C. this week? The Dems are pretty much chasing their tails, trying mightily to staunch the blood-flow of the upcoming November elections. They are more than a little worried, and are not feeling the confidence they felt a mere two years ago. Reason: the plummeting popularity of BHo. So, then, obama is concerning his own party. They do not want to appear too aligned with him, especially those whose seats are up for grabs. Some are boldly speaking out, especially with regard to the possibility of boots on the ground in the Middle East. Some Dems are expressing deep concern that this POTUS is not responding with a show of strength to the threat posed by ISIS, both abroad and here at home. The postponement by o of granting amnesty before the midterms seems to bring relief to his beleaguered party. The further exacerbation of a weakened economy and the continuing influx of illegals from our southern borders have key Dems outwardly distancing themselves from the Commander-in-Chief. Ive encouraged Dan to leave this evening, rather than tomorrow, the anniversary of devastation to our nation. Lots of good and positive meetings this week on behalf of our Second Amendment! Im proud of him.
